Simonyan on the Process of Stripping Three MPs of Immunity

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, suggests that a process to strip three MPs from the "Armenia" faction of their parliamentary immunity will begin.

"I assume that yes. I have no other information, but our media operates very well and is often better informed than high-ranking officials, so I assume that those names are correct, and the process will commence," he stated during a briefing with reporters at the National Assembly in response to a question.

Earlier, reports in the media circulated that a process would be initiated to strip the faction leader Seyran Ohanyan, as well as MPs Vahe Hakobyan and Vardan Charchyan of their immunity.
