Drinking Water Will Not Increase in Price for Citizens Until 2024, Says PSRC Chairman
The chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Garegin Baghramyan, assures that drinking water will not increase in price for citizens until 2024.
“'Veolia Water' submitted a tariff application of 209 drams in August. Our preliminary calculations are complete, and they have been presented at a meeting. We are maintaining the same price for socially vulnerable consumers, while the price for other consumers comes to 208.5 drams. However, if you have heard the statement from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the difference will be subsidized by the government, meaning that there will be no changes for consumers starting from January 1,” Baghramyan told reporters after the government meeting.
He noted that this decision is valid for one year.
