Tigran Khzmalyan Detained by Police

Leader of the European Party of Armenia, Tigran Khzmalyan, has been detained by police. This is evident from photos posted on his Facebook page, one of which shows a police officer.

At the same time, the police department informed Sputnik Armenia that four individuals were detained on Paronyan Street. They have been taken to a police station based on Article 182 of the Administrative Code for failing to comply with a lawful demand of a police officer.

It is noted that Khzmalyan and his supporters were planning to hold a protest against the ongoing CSTO joint session in Yerevan and the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
