‘The calls are false, soldiers have uniforms’: MoD clarifies
Recently, media reports surfaced claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces are not providing winter uniforms (jackets) to conscripted soldiers, forcing parents to purchase necessary attire and send it to their children.
Auroranews sought clarification from the Ministry of Defense regarding the accuracy of this information. According to MoD spokesperson Aram Torosyan, the claims do not reflect reality: “All service members of the armed forces are equipped with winter uniforms. The statements that soldiers do not have winter uniforms are untrue. If there are such calls, as with any other alerts, the Ministry of Defense investigates them accordingly. The personnel are provided with winter uniforms, which include a winter jacket, winter trousers, gloves, a cap, warm half-socks, and thermal underwear.”
