Iran Launches Missile Strikes in Iraq, Targeting Opponents
Iran's Air Force has carried out missile strikes against the headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party, deemed a terrorist organization in Iran, located in northern Iraq. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Rudaw television channel.
The channel stated, "The headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party in the city of Altinkapru in Kirkuk province were subjected to Iranian missile fire. Several missiles fell outside the headquarters, and there are no casualties reported." The party's leader, Hussein Yazdan, announced that the attack was also conducted using drones.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has continued operations against Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, launching airstrikes against them. Last week, the IRGC conducted an anti-terror operation targeting Kurdish terrorist cells in northern Iraq, using drones and missiles. The bombardment resulted in one fatality and eight injuries, including members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militia.
In October, the IRGC initiated a four-phase military operation against armed anti-Iranian Kurdish groups located in northern Iraq. The operation involved ground troops as well as the IRGC's air force. During the operation, the Iranian air force executed pinpoint strikes using aerial aviation and kamikaze drones. The assaults resulted in at least 13 fatalities and 58 injuries, with the majority being civilians.
