Images: What Do the Newly Donated Ambulances to Armenia Look Like?

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, attended a ceremony for the handover of new ambulances donated to Armenia by the Government of Japan, held in the courtyard of the National Burn Center.

Present at the event were Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, MP Arsen Torosyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinian, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Masanori Fukushiman, and other officials.

The ambulances were donated to Armenia within the framework of the "Economic and Social Development" grant agreement signed between the Governments of Armenia and Japan on June 30, 2020. Of the 39 new generation ambulances allocated to Armenia, 35 are standard ambulances, and 4 are equipped as reanimobiles. The Prime Minister explored the capabilities of these vehicles. Officials emphasized that they are equipped with modern medical equipment and auxiliary accessories.

The total cost of the project amounted to $3.5 million.
