“No police officer has been interrogated so far”: Parents assaulted in ‘Yerablur’ hold a protest near the Investigative Committee
Today, November 21, parents who were assaulted in ‘Yerablur’ are holding a protest near the Investigative Committee. Ara Rostomyan, the father of deceased serviceman Hakob Rostomyan, said in an interview with reporters:
“Five parents suffered bodily injuries, and the case was transferred to the Investigative Committee. 37 parents were recognized as victims, but after summoning 20 individuals for interrogation, they claim they cannot notify, locate, or summon the other parents; the interrogation has ceased, and it has been dragging on for two months now. Our demand is that if you have interrogated 20 individuals, based on those testimonies, either initiate a case or separate the case of the five individuals who suffered bodily injuries. So far, no police officer has been interrogated; only we are being questioned. How can a case be initiated by only questioning one side? If we do not take any action, it could drag on for years, just like other cases that are opened. They say that until we completely interrogate one side, we won’t move on to the other side; the absurdity lies in that. There is something intentional here, they are artificially delaying the case.”
