Emergency Declared in New York Due to Heavy Snowfall

Due to heavy snowfall, President Joe Biden has declared a state of emergency in New York. This information was reported by The Washington Times, citing the White House press office.

Biden has also ordered funds to be allocated from the federal budget to combat the natural disaster. Earlier reports indicated that approximately 2 meters of snow had fallen in the western part of New York in just one day, setting a historic absolute record that has paralyzed community life. Emergency services were needed for 280 people.

Last night, nearly 9 million people living in six states received warnings about severe weather conditions. Some areas of Wisconsin and Michigan have seen more than two feet of snow. The snowfall is ongoing.
