Serbian President Speaks of Hell in Kosovo

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić anticipates that the Kosovo-Albanian authorities will not revoke their decision to impose fines for Serbian license plates, which will sharply escalate the situation in Kosovo and Metohija after November 21.

The Serbian leader reminded that the next round of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina is scheduled for Monday morning in Brussels, where he will participate. Expected to attend is also the so-called 'Prime Minister' of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

The main topic is the enforcement of the decision by the Kosovo-Albanian authorities regarding fines for Serbian-issued license plates. “If he (Kurti) wanted to postpone the decision, he would have done so earlier. I think the idea of negotiations is to provide an opportunity to delay the decision. But Kurti has shown that he does not want to see the presence of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” Vučić stated during an interview with TV Prva.

According to him, if Pristina begins to take contentious actions by force, an escalation in northern Kosovo and Metohija is inevitable. “The Kosovo police have no business in northern Kosovo and Metohija; if they interfere, it will be hell. Serbia will stand with its people, and Serbs will defend their homes,” the Serbian leader emphasized.

He also added that Belgrade has done everything to maintain peace in the region.

It is noteworthy that the Kosovo-Albanian authorities are demanding local Serbs to re-register all license plates issued by the Serbian authorities bearing the letters “КМ” to replace them with “RKS” and Kosovo's symbol, and they intend to fine those who violate this requirement starting November 21.
