A gas explosion in a residential building in Sakhalin has resulted in the death of 9 individuals, including 4 children. This information was confirmed by Valeriya Limarenko, the governor of the region. There are 9 injured, and search operations are ongoing for three more individuals.
It is worth noting that the incident occurred on the night of November 18. As of 16:45 (Moscow time, 08:45), search efforts continue for three residents in the Timovsk village. Following the incident, Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that preliminary data indicates a gas explosion in a five-story residential building in Sakhalin, which caused the entrance of the building to completely collapse, trapping potential victims beneath the rubble.
