Kadyrov recorded a video message calling on all Caucasians and Chechens who profess Islam to start a "holy war" against European states. He openly confessed that he dreams of dying in this war and is not opposed to his children also sacrificing themselves in the "holy war."

He also stated: "What are you sitting for, come, gather, create battalions and regiments, I will provide you with everything necessary, I will equip you, arm you."
