«I Don’t Rule Out That the Mouse Went Up a Bit and Down a Bit» - Papoyan
During a briefing with journalists, ruling faction MP Gevorg Papoyan commented on the recount of ballots for the election of the board of the 'Civil Contract' party:
“A regular recount took place; I think it is normal that out of such a large number of votes, someone’s vote may have increased by two or decreased by three,” Papoyan said.
When asked which party member suggested conducting the recount, considering there are reports that Arsen Torosyan was the one who proposed it, Papoyan replied: “I am not sure, maybe. I do not exclude that the person entering the data was tired; the mouse might have gone up a bit and down a bit. I believe such errors occurred, and during the recount, the calculation was performed much more cautiously and slowly, trying to eliminate mistakes. I do not think there was a serious error. The votes are so close that 30 percent remained the same, for example, 30 percent increased by 3-4, while 30 percent decreased; these are averages I am mentioning,” he noted, ruling out any deliberate error during the election.
