Has the Belarusian Ambassador Been Summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry?

Recently, the Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia, Alexander Konyuk, was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry. This is reported by bagramyan26, citing its sources.

The Belarusian ambassador was informed of the Armenian side's dissatisfaction and concerns regarding statements made by the president and other Belarusian officials, which do not reflect allied sentiments.

It is important to recall that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, spoke extensively about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, stating that this conflict needs to come to an end. He sees Russia as the only mediator.

“Certain games are underway. I understand what games are being played, why the European Union has been dragged into this, and why the OSCE is being pulled in. It is clear, isn’t it? What are they going to do there if there is already a mediator?” he declared.

Lukashenko also opposes the CSTO's involvement, stating, “As if there’s nothing else to do.”

In the tense sections of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, where Azerbaijani forces have invaded Armenian territory, EU civilian observers are monitoring the situation within Armenia. There is also a question of sending a mission from the OSCE, while the CSTO has not taken any practical steps to assist member state Armenia.
