Germany Denies Erdogan's Statement
The German government has denied Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's claims regarding a shift in Chancellor Olaf Scholz's stance on Ukraine. This was reported by the Welt newspaper, citing a government spokesperson, as conveyed by TASS.
According to the newspaper's source, during the conversation, the Chancellor reiterated his position that it is President Vladimir Putin who must halt the brutal war, withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine, and enter into peaceful negotiations with Kyiv.
Earlier, Erdogan had stated that Chancellor Olaf Scholz had changed his stance toward President Putin. He claimed that the German political figure now believes that a common understanding should be found with the Russian president.
