Vanadzor Teenager Arrested for Grandmother's Murder: What Happened

The investigation into the murder of an 82-year-old woman in Vanadzor has been revealed through necessary investigative and procedural actions taken by the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

A call regarding the discovery of the body of the woman was received on November 1, 2022, at 15:05. An investigative-operational group immediately went to the scene and found the elderly woman's body on her bedroom bed, with cut and puncture wounds to her right wrist.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code. As a result of urgent measures taken, several circumstances of the case have been clarified, including the identity of the person suspected of committing the crime, who is the granddaughter living in the same apartment with the elderly woman, born in 2004. She has been arrested and questioned, providing details about the circumstances of the incident.
