The Establishment of External Intelligence Service is Extremely Important, Says Pashinyan

Two significant changes are expected in Armenia in 2023. An Internal Affairs Ministry and an External Intelligence Service will be established.

“Both legislative packages will be approved by the government soon and will be sent to the National Assembly,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly. He considers the creation of the External Intelligence Service to be extremely important.

“But I also want to say that after numerous discussions, we have come to the conclusion that the activities of the External Intelligence Service should not operate within the standard logic of our state governance institutions, otherwise, it would lose its meaning,” Pashinyan noted.
