The Current Armenian Government is the Most Pro-Russian, Agreeing with Russia, Says Simonian

The current government of Armenia is the most pro-Russian, stated the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, during a conversation with journalists, emphasizing that this is agreed upon in Russia.

“During my last visit, the head of the State Duma of Russia announced that he was very pleased that our communications are much more frequent, as they were insufficient during the previous administrations. Our connections have been much worse, while today we have much closer inter-parliamentary relations,” he noted.

Referring to the statements made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the National Assembly President remarked that Lukashenko is not the author of his thoughts. When asked who might be the real author, he replied, “I don’t know, it could be from Moscow, it could be from Baku, or maybe Almaty. I believe he has serious internal problems, and I assume that the Belarusian people did not appreciate what Lukashenko said. I regret that.”

As for why Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has not responded to Lukashenko, Alen Simonian mentioned that a response has been made but asserts that it is not appropriate for the video to be presented to the public.
