Procurement Investigated at Company Led by Allen Simonian's Brother, Says Romanos Petrosyan

Procurement activities at "Euroasphalt" LLC, led by the brother of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Allen Simonian, have been examined by the State Revenue Committee (SRC). This was reported today, November 2, during a conversation with reporters by SRC head Romanos Petrosyan.

"Months ago, following the Prime Minister's directive, the SRC initiated two consecutive monitoring processes: one concerning the involvement of business entities possibly connected to high-ranking officials in procurement processes, and the second related to the overall sphere of public procurements, which is currently under daily constant monitoring by the SRC," Petrosyan stated.

He mentioned that during the first ten months of the current year, until the end of October, about 170 analytical reports had been compiled by the Procurement Monitoring Division. "We have examined all state procurements where the entity you mentioned participated, and I can say that we have reviewed the procurement invitation, the submitted packages, and the terms of the competition. No discriminatory criteria or apparent violations have been identified," he added.
