Russia and Armenia have established a strong foundation for strategic partnership and cooperation over the past decades. This was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a message to participants and organizers of the 'Primakov Readings' discussion platform, presented by the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
TASS agency reports that Lavrov warmly welcomed the organizers and participants of the 'Primakov Readings' forum in Yerevan, which serves as a reputable platform for expert discussions on the most urgent issues of the regional and international agenda.
This meeting takes place in Armenia during the year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our fraternal countries. Over the past decades, relying on strong friendly ties and mutual goodwill, we have succeeded in laying solid foundations for a long-term strategic partnership and alliance,” Lavrov said in his message.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also highlighted the distinguished composition of invited experts in the field of international relations, adding that they are set to discuss a wide range of topics from the prospective state of Russian-Armenian relations to ways of promoting regional cooperation in the Caucasus.
“I am confident that the results of the discussions will provide opportunities to develop useful and practical proposals and will contribute to strengthening trust and mutual understanding between our peoples,” Lavrov concluded.
