Video: Putin's Statement After Trilateral Meeting

Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan have agreed on a joint statement. "I must honestly say that not everything was successfully coordinated; some issues had to be removed from the text previously developed at the expert level," said Russian President Vladimir Putin following a meeting in Sochi with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“Nevertheless, I agree with the general assessment that the meeting was useful, and it creates conditions for further steps towards resolving the overall situation. Moreover, when I say in general, I mean both the current events of the not-so-distant past and those that occurred two years ago. Even then, we managed to agree on key issues. Today’s discussion also indicates that we can reach agreements regarding the future of all our countries. I mean Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, as well as all the countries in the region, as all the peoples living in this area are interested in normalizing relations. Russia will do everything on its part to ensure that a final and comprehensive resolution occurs. We will stay in touch, continue this dialogue, and keep searching for the solutions necessary to end this long-standing conflict,” he stated.
