Earthquake in the Armenia-Turkey Border Area

On October 29, 2022, at 14:39 local time (10:39 GMT), a 2.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Seismic Protection Territorial Service seismic network in the border area between Armenia and Turkey, 14 km southeast of the city of Armavir, at a depth of 10 km.

The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral area was 3 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Vardanashen, Margara, and Nalbandyan in the Armavir province with an intensity of 2-3 points.
