German President Urges Citizens to Adapt to Crisis and Restrictions

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called on Germans to learn to live modestly. This was reported by Kp.ru, noting that the German president spoke about this during a speech addressed to citizens in Berlin.

“One thing is clear. In the coming years, we will have to come to terms with restrictions. Many have felt this for a long time. Everyone needs to contribute where they can. This crisis demands that we learn to be modest again,” he said.

The president also added that the state will provide support and assistance to those who find themselves in difficult situations. “I know that even in our wealthy country, many cannot cope without help, as their entire daily lives are already filled with restrictions. This crisis affects those who, even before the beginning of the conflict, had to struggle every day to provide a good life for their children. This crisis hits businesses, the self-employed, and shops that were doing well but are now struggling against supply chain disruptions and high energy prices,” Steinmeier stated.
