Alen Simonyan Travels to Uzbekistan on Prime Minister's Service Aircraft
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, led a delegation that departed for Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on October 26. According to information obtained by "Zhoghovurd," the entire delegation flew there on the presidential aircraft designated for the Prime Minister.
In a conversation with us, his press secretary, Tsvetana Khachatrayan, confirmed our information, stating, "Due to time and logistics, this mode of travel to Samarkand was chosen." It is noteworthy that Alen Simonyan is accompanied by 13 individuals, five of whom are deputies. The delegation includes Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, Chairman of the State-Legal Committee Vladimir Vardanyan, and deputies Lilit Minasyan, Alexey Sandikov, and Mikayel Tumasyan.
"Zhoghovurd" has learned that the actual costs incurred by the five individuals will be covered by the budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2022, allocated to the National Assembly for this purpose, while the nightly allowances related to the trip will be paid by the inviting side. It is worth mentioning that the cost of the presidential aircraft amounts to approximately 25 million drams.
