Will Putin Participate in the CSTO Leaders' Meeting? Peskov Responds

Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to participate in the meeting of CSTO leaders. This was announced to RIA Novosti by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

"Yes, he plans to," Peskov said in response to a question about whether the Russian president would attend the meeting.

The extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will take place on October 28, 2022. It is noted that the meeting will address the results of the CSTO mission sent to Armenia on September 15, 2022, in connection with the escalation of the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

Joint measures to support Armenia will also be discussed during the meeting.

Previously, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Yerevan is initiating the convening of an extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
