The Issue of Tsovagyugh Resolved, But Not to the Hearts of Tsovagyugh Residents: "Zhoghovurd"
According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", the management issue of the village of Tsovagyugh has been resolved, but not to the satisfaction of its residents. The newspaper has learned that Seda Minasian has been appointed as the administrative representative of the Tsovagyugh community, having previously worked within the village municipality.
It should be noted that until now, the activities of the Tsovagyugh village municipality were paralyzed, as the village had no administrative representative. Former community leader Vahram Gevorgyan did not want to take the role of administrative representative, and he along with his fellow villagers demanded that Tsovagyugh not be merged.
It is important to highlight that not only Tsovagyugh, but also the community of Semoyanovka was in an uncertain status. The administrative representative of Semoyanovka has been appointed as former village head David Mnatsakanian.
Recall that according to amendments to the law on “Administrative Territorial Division”, after the elections of December 5 of last year, ten villages, including Tsovagyugh and Semoyanovka, were merged into Sevan. The residents of these villages did not participate in the local self-government elections, as they opposed the unification and amalgamation of communities.
Residents of Semoyanovka and Tsovagyugh wanted to unite with each other, not with the Sevan community. However, the government triumphed over the residents of Tsovagyugh on this issue.
