Iran Will Give a 'Crushing Response' to Those Behind the Attack on Shah Cheragh Shrine
Iran's security forces will deliver a "crushing response" to those responsible for the attack on the Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz, southern Iran. This statement was made by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, according to TASS.
"This will certainly not go unanswered; security forces and law enforcement will provide a crushing response to the organizers and perpetrators of this crime," Raisi stated in his message.
It is reported that armed criminals opened fire near the Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz, resulting in at least 15 fatalities and 40 injuries, according to the local Fars agency. Reports indicate that three armed individuals opened fire in the area surrounding the shrine, with two of them having been apprehended. Operations are underway to arrest the third individual.
"The number of victims from the attack on the Shah Cheragh shrine has reached 15," the IRIB agency reported. Iranian media have classified the attack as terrorism.
