According to the agency's sources, the announcement was made during a video conference with bankers supporting the financing of the deal. Earlier, it was reported that Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, has purchased Twitter for $44 billion.

A deal was sealed in which the company fully owned by Elon Musk paid $54.2 per share. It is noteworthy that at the beginning of April, Musk announced that he owned 9.2% of Twitter's shares, and ten days later, he declared his intention to buy the company entirely.
