VIDEO: Illegal Weapons Found in Private House, One of the Arrested is a Foreign National

As a result of extensive operational-investigative measures, reliable information was received by the criminal investigation department of the police in Nairi that two men, aged 39, residing in Yerevan, were illegally storing weapons and ammunition in one of the private houses on Paruir Sevak Street in Yeghvard.

A criminal case has been initiated in the territorial investigative body. On October 18, law enforcement officers, upon the court's decision, searched one of the private houses on Paruir Sevak Street in Yeghvard. A factory-numbered 'Makarov' pistol loaded with 9mm cartridges, a 'Pietro Beretta' pistol in combat readiness loaded with 9mm cartridges, a 'Saiga' type firearm loaded with 7.62mm cartridges, a magazine with 29 cartridges, bulletproof vests, marijuana-like substances, and more were found.

During the operation, two men aged 39 from Yerevan were arrested and presented to the investigative body along with their 33-year-old friend, who is a foreign national. They have been detained and transferred to a correctional facility. The circumstances are being clarified during the preliminary investigation.
