Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Anti-Corruption Committee today and attended the event dedicated to the Day of the Anti-Corruption Committee employee and the first anniversary of the formation of the body.

“Our political will has not diminished in the slightest. This is very important, because when coming to power through a revolution, it is very easy to say that we will fight against corruption, etc. The moment of truth is now. We have been in power for over 4 years, dealing with these capabilities, and so on—how much has our political will remained the same? I want to make it clear that our political will has even increased, moreover, because at that time we perhaps were not even capable, while being in opposition, to assess the profound and tragic consequences that corruption has had and continues to have on our reality. Now we know it in more detail; we encounter this problem every day, we feel it as responsible people who must solve issues related to the fate of the country,” said the Prime Minister during his speech.

He emphasized that every time they go to solve a problem, they see that the tool to solve that problem is either unavailable or its mold exists. “However, the internal, so-called catalyst is absent, as we encountered cases during the war when it turned out that, say, from so-called terrifyingly named missiles, plates can be taken out that contain gold. And this expresses it all. In many cases, we feel this today; the attendees feel it when they go to solve issues of crucial significance for the state. They take the tool to use, only to find that the mold of that tool exists, its entire content has been removed, and it is unknown who took it. But that is not the essence. The fact is that it is not possible to solve the problem with that tool,” noted Pashinyan.
