South Korea Fires Warning Shots at North Korean Vessel
South Korea has fired several warning shots at a North Korean vessel that crossed the maritime boundary, according to Reuters.
According to the Republic of Korea, on Monday, a vessel flying the flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) breached the maritime border between the countries. Life Shot reports that in response, the DPRK opened fire using multiple rocket launcher systems.
It is worth noting that since the end of September, North Korea has been conducting continuous missile tests. In particular, a series of missile tests have been carried out modeling nuclear strikes against South Korea.
In September, North Korea confirmed a new nuclear doctrine, declaring itself a nuclear state and asserting its right to launch preemptive nuclear strikes for self-defense.
