Shoigu Discusses Situation with French Defense Minister

Russian and French defense ministers Sergey Shoigu and Sébastien Lecornu discussed the situation in Ukraine during their phone conversations, reports the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The situation in Ukraine, which has a stable tendency towards further uncontrolled escalation, was discussed. Army General Sergey Shoigu conveyed his concerns to his French counterpart regarding possible provocations by Ukraine involving the use of a 'dirty bomb,'" the report states.

As previously reported, Shoigu held his first talks with the head of the Pentagon since May. The main topic of discussion was also Ukraine.
