Macron Criticizes the US for Gas Prices Being Three to Four Times Cheaper Than in Europe

French President Emmanuel Macron has criticized US authorities for having double standards regarding gas pricing. According to him, the cost of energy in the US market is significantly cheaper than in Europe. This information was reported by Kp.ru.

“There is a choice that the American economy has made, which is an attractive choice that I respect, but it creates double standards. When American energy resources are much cheaper than ours because the US is an energy-producing country, they sell gas to us three to four times cheaper,” Macron stated during a press conference following the EU summit in Brussels.

The political leader also added that he plans to discuss this issue during his visit to the US in December of this year.
