Kyiv Authorities to Issue 'Special Passports' for Citizens Returning from Russia
Kyiv authorities have decided to start issuing 'special certificates' for citizens of the country returning from Russia. This announcement was made by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"The government is launching an identification document for those returning to Ukraine," explained the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
RIA Novosti, referring to Shmyhal, reported that Ukrainians wishing to obtain the 'special certificate' must apply to the State Migration Service of Ukraine or the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
At the same time, the senior Ukrainian official did not clarify the purpose of presenting a document that differs from others issued to some citizens of the country. Official explanations from the Ukrainian authorities have only revealed that this document may allow those citizens currently in regions recently annexed by the Russian Federation to return to Ukraine.
