Video: Gunfire During Wedding Ceremony, Police Investigate

On October 13, shortly after midnight, the Artashat police department received a call reporting gunfire at a restaurant near the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, prompting the need for police assistance. An operational group dispatched to the scene determined that a dispute had erupted among a group of young people during a wedding ceremony at the restaurant, which continued in the parking lot.

According to information, a car branded 'Mercedes' approached the disputants, fired shots from within, and then fled the scene. Shell casings were found at the site.

A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of hooliganism by the territorial investigative body. Subsequent actions were carried out by Artashat criminal investigators in collaboration with the Ararat regional department, the Masis division, the main department of state protection, and the Ararat regional investigative department.

As a result of explanatory work, a 30-year-old man from Nor Kharberd presented himself to the Artashat police, bringing with him a 'Makarov' pistol with an empty magazine. According to him, this was the firearm used to shoot from the car in the restaurant's yard.

The man has been arrested and presented to the investigative body. Circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified during the preliminary investigation.
