Iran to Supply More Missiles and Drones to Russia: Reuters

Iran has pledged to supply Russia with "ground-to-ground" missiles as well as a new batch of unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported to Reuters by two senior Iranian officials and two diplomats.

According to sources from the agency, the deal was inked on October 6 during the visit of Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to Moscow.

The sources specify that Russia has requested more precise ballistic missiles from Iran, including the Fateh-110 and Zulfiqar. These are short-range ground-to-ground missiles capable of hitting targets at distances of 300-700 km.

The deal also includes the supply of Shahed-136 drones. These kamikaze-class drones are equipped with warheads that detonate on impact.

Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Reuters that the Kremlin is unaware of the use of Iranian drones in the Ukraine conflict.
