New US Aid Package for Ukraine Revealed

The United States will provide an additional $725 million in military assistance to Ukraine. This was announced by the White House.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the aid includes additional weapons, ammunition, and equipment from the Department of Defense's stockpiles. With this package, the total amount of U.S. assistance to Ukraine has reached $18.3 billion.

The Washington Post notes that the new aid package includes American-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS). The publication reports that the U.S. has already sent 20 HIMARS to Ukraine and has pledged to deliver another 18 in the coming years.
