"September Clashes with Armenia Stopped Through Mediation of Russia": Aliyev
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the clashes with Armenia along the border were halted in September this year through mediation from Russia. He noted, "Some attribute Russia's merits to other countries, but this is absolutely unfounded. The clashes have ceased as a result of the mediation efforts from the Russian side."
"Armenia does not ensure unimpeded access from the main part of Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan, which is its legal obligation, and it has not yet withdrawn its armed forces from Azerbaijani territory. We are still showing patience, but that is not unlimited. If these two crucial points of the trilateral statement of November 2020 are not fulfilled, we will have no choice but to act accordingly," Aliyev added.
