The European Union will allocate 5 billion euros to Ukraine by the end of the year. According to РИА Новости, this was announced by European Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni.
The assistance to Kyiv will be provided in three phases. "We will allocate 5 billion euros by the end of the year—in October, November, and December," he said.
As reported by Bloomberg, the European Commission will offer a loan package to Ukraine as early as next week. Thus, the union will help Ukraine cover urgent expenses.
