North Korea Fires Short-Range Ballistic Missile: Yonhap
South Korean military officials have reported that North Korea launched a short-range ballistic missile from an area near Pyongyang into the Sea of Japan on the night of October 14. This was reported by Yonhap, citing information from the armed forces.
“North Korea fired a short-range ballistic missile from the Sunan area,” the report stated.
Earlier, Reuters, citing the Korean Central News Agency, had reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un oversaw a trial launch of long-range cruise missiles on Wednesday. The publication noted that the targets were struck at a distance of 2,000 kilometers during the firing.
Prior to this, North Korea also fired an unidentified ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan.
