Zakhrova Comments on Borrell's Statements

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has commented on the statements made by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, regarding NATO's failure to fulfill its promises and the alleged deception involved.

Earlier, Borrell, speaking at the Charles of Antwerp Foundation in Madrid, stated that NATO cannot fulfill the promises made to Russia; however, he argued that this does not justify what is happening around Ukraine.

“Well, that’s it. Historical recognition was sounded. The West openly declared its betrayal and deceit. NATO cynically drew a line that fixed an already established divide, separating them from decent people,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
