Why Has the Ministry of Defense Not Found My Son? Protest in Lusagugh Village

The relatives of Vahe Torosyan, a conscript soldier who has been missing since September 14, have blocked the road leading to Lusagugh village in the Armavir province. They held a protest near the Ministry of Defense on October 10 as well.

Relatives state that Vahe Torosyan last made contact on September 14, clearly describing his location to a friend. However, Armenian authorities have taken no action to retrieve him, claiming that the area is under Azerbaijani control.

"Since September 16, the Azerbaijani side has not allowed entry into the territory they control, in the upper part of the Syunik region near the village of Hand. The child called on September 15, explaining to his friend that he is in a canyon. But our side is not taking any steps. Only the command staff of the military unit is active. Our people want to enter the territory, but Azerbaijan does not allow it," said one of the relatives.
