One of the Oldest Monuments to Pushkin Dismantled in Kyiv

Another monument has been dismantled in Ukraine. In the center of Kyiv, the monument to Russian poet Alexander Pushkin has been taken down. This was reported by the publication 'Strana'.

'In the center of the capital, the monument to Alexander Pushkin, a symbol of the "Russian World," has been dismantled. The dismantling was dedicated to Lieutenant Denis Antipov of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who died in May 2022,' the publication reports.

It is worth noting that the dismantled statue of Pushkin is considered one of the oldest among monuments dedicated to the poet. It was erected in 1899 to mark the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth.
