How the Kremlin Commented on the Meeting Between Putin and the President of the UAE

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, described the meeting between UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Russian leader Vladimir Putin as substantive. On Tuesday, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Russia for the first time since his appointment in May of this year.

“As you know, yesterday there were substantive negotiations between President Putin and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” Peskov told reporters on Wednesday. He noted that bilateral relations were discussed in detail, confirming that there has been a rapid growth in trade and economic relations.

“In this regard, mutual satisfaction was expressed,” added the spokesman for the Russian leader.

It is also discussed regarding the meeting that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in black sneakers for his meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

Footage from the politician's working visit to Saint Petersburg shows that in addition to sneakers and traditional Arab attire, he was wearing Nike socks. Putin, for his part, appeared at the meeting in shoes, a business suit, and a purple tie.
