Decisions Made to Close Ukraine's Skies, Says Zelensky's Chief of Staff
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, has announced that an agreement has been reached with representatives of NATO countries and Ukraine's allies regarding the provision of modern Western air defense systems to Kyiv. This information was shared on his Twitter account.
“Decisions are being made to close the skies of Ukraine. Strengthening Ukraine's air defense is what we need,” said the head of the state leader's office.
He added that Ukraine is in constant dialogue with its allies.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the North Atlantic alliance will focus on air defense systems in its arms supply to Ukraine. According to him, Kyiv needs more air defense to protect civilian objects amid “unprecedented escalation.”
