VIDEO: Zelensky Declares Air Alert Across Ukraine – What is the Situation in Kyiv?

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has declared an air alert across the entire country, according to a post on his Telegram channel.

“Air strikes are continuing throughout Ukraine. There are missile attacks, and unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries,” he stated.

As reported by Strana.ua, explosions have occurred in 12 regions of the country and in the capital. Earlier, Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kyiv, as well as in Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions, Lviv, and Ternopil.

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, tweeted that one of the missiles fell on Volodymyrska Street near the Hrushevsky Monument, where the office of Ukraine's Security Service is located.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain in shelters. Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, announced roadblocks in the central streets and requested residents of the suburbs not to travel to Kyiv.
