We Couldn’t Even Dream About This: Zakharova

All French television channels have broadcasted live the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to RIA Novosti.

“Regarding the information blockade of Russia. In France, the speech of the Russian president is currently being broadcast live. All French channels are translating it themselves. We couldn’t even dream about this,” she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zakharova added that in Russia they simply want RT-France correspondents to be allowed into the Élysée Palace. “But, as they say, you cannot force people to be kind,” the Russian Foreign Ministry representative concluded.

In March, the French media regulator Arcom announced the immediate cessation of broadcasting of the RT France channel following a decision by the European Union. The EU banned the distribution of signals and content from Russia Today and Sputnik amidst the backdrop of Russia's military operation aimed at the demilitarization of Ukraine.

Earlier, during a meeting of the Security Council, Putin stated that Moscow would respond harshly to terrorist acts organized by Ukrainian authorities on Russian territory, noting that Kyiv has aligned itself with the most notorious terrorist groups.
