The Prime Minister appreciated the American efforts aimed at eliminating the consequences of the aggression carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13-14, and emphasized the importance of consistent actions in this direction.

The parties highlighted the necessity of the withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and the unconditional adherence to the ceasefire regime.

The interlocutors also discussed the outcomes of the quadrilateral meeting held in Prague on October 6, which included the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of France, the President of the European Council, and the President of Azerbaijan.

Particular emphasis was placed on the development of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the UN Charter and the 1991 Almaty Declaration, the implementation of demarcation works, and ensuring the activities of the EU civilian mission along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

They addressed issues regarding the protection of the security and rights of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh, the establishment of an international mechanism for discussions between Stepanakert and Baku, and the return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan.

The Prime Minister also shared his impressions regarding his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Antony Blinken expressed the U.S. willingness to continue supporting the negotiation process and promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus in the near future.
