No One Should Doubt This: Putin on the Powerful Explosions in Kyiv
Moscow will respond harshly to terrorist attacks organized by Ukrainian authorities on Russian territory, said Vladimir Putin at a Security Council meeting. The state's leader emphasized that the Kyiv regime is behind the explosion on the Crimean bridge.
“Data from forensic and other examinations, as well as operational data, show that the October 8 explosion is an act of terrorism aimed at destroying Russia's critical civilian infrastructure. The perpetrators, organizers, and authors are also obvious. The author of this terrorism is the Ukrainian special services,” Putin stated.
In addition, the Russian leader accused Ukraine of nuclear terrorism, citing shelling at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant and attempts at sabotage at the Kursk nuclear power plant.
“Ukrainian special services have carried out three acts of terrorism against the Kursk nuclear power plant, repeatedly disrupting the power plant’s high-voltage lines. As a result of such a third attack, three such lines were damaged at once. We have taken measures from our side, and the damage has been promptly rectified without serious consequences,” he said.
Putin also spoke about Ukraine's attempts to blow up parts of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline system. “The Kyiv regime, with its actions, has effectively classified itself with international terrorist groups, the most odious of groups. It is simply impossible to leave such crimes unanswered,” Putin emphasized.
The president mentioned that Russian forces have dealt significant blows to Ukraine's energy, military command, and communication facilities. “If attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on our territory continue, Russia's responses will be harsh and scaled to match the level of threats arising from the Russian Federation. No one should doubt this,” the state leader concluded.
