Iran's Foreign Minister on the Role of Iran's Consulate in Kapan
In an interview with ICANA, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stated that the Iranian consulate in Kapan would contribute to strengthening Armenian-Iranian relations.
According to him, the establishment of Iran's first general consulate in Kapan aligns with the Raisi administration's stance on economic issues and serves to strengthen the North-South transit route, as well as expand and deepen relations between Iran and Armenia.
“This step, which will help strengthen the North-South transit route, has been implemented to develop and reinforce cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic sector. With the opening of the first consulate in Kapan, we will witness the continuous expansion and deepening of relations between Iran and Armenia,” the Foreign Minister said.
