Fire on Bagratuniats Street: Emergency Situations Ministry
On October 8, at 17:40, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a fire at 81 Bagratuniats Avenue in Yerevan.
Two fire and rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Yerevan Firefighting Department, as well as operational groups from the fire extinguishing and rescue operations organization department and the National Crisis Management Center, were dispatched to the scene.
A fire complexity level “1 BIS” alarm was declared, prompting the dispatch of two more firefighting teams and one water truck to the site.
According to Hayk Kostanyan, spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry, a storage area of 500 square meters is burning, consisting of accumulated wood and isogam. Four firefighting teams are currently on site.
The fire was contained by 18:15.
